Partial
compositeness and its implication for the LHC
Abstract
Warped
compactifications of higher-dimensional spacetime provide a particularly attractive
setting, since they resolve the Hierarchy Problem non-supersymmetrically, and
are equivalent, or dual, to strongly-coupled, purely 4-dimensional field
theories. I discuss a simplifying truncation of this kind of warped/composite physics
that includes only the Standard Model (SM) particles and the first TeV-scale
excitations carrying SM charges. The result is a 4-dimensional effective
field theory, consistent with the central organizing principle of partial
compositeness, where phenomenological studies and collider searches are
extremely simplified, and the physics is as transparent as possible.
